Psalm 139 Out of Order

Not proud of the way I reacted to my husband last night and needing some forgiveness, I went to the Lord this morning...and He led me to Psalm 139. Sometimes looking at things in a little different order can really give you a fresh perspective so I wanted to share with you how He blessed me with the reminder of His forever love.

Psalm 139 Out of Order (and paraphrased)

v5 You have placed your hand of blessing upon my head

EVEN THOUGH:

v1 You look straight into my heart and know the exact truth about who I am;

v2 You see my every action and know everything that crosses my mind;

v3 You always know where I am (and you sometimes go with me places that You wouldn't choose for me because you will NEVER leave me!); and

v4You've already heard what I'm going to say, even before it leaves my mouth.

THEREFORE:

v6 I'm overwhelmed with the knowledge that you CHOOSE to bless me in spite of knowing the TRUTH about who I really am, and what I really do and say. I can't understand the half of your merciful, gracious character!

Are you living with regrets today, friend? Find forgiveness, but then move on in joy knowing that you are the apple of His eye, He loves you with an everlasting love and His hand of blessing is upon you!

I'm Not A Lion...I'm A Boy!

Heard in my home today at lunchtime:

Me: Son, you need to sit down at the table. It's time for lunch.
Darling Little Redhead: No, I don't mama. Daddy said I don't have to (Do all three year olds think this trick will work???).
Me: That's not true. Daddy isn't even here. You're lyin'.
DLR: I'm not lion!
Me: Son, yes you are.
DLR: Mama, I'M NOT A LION! I'm a boy!

Vanity, Thy Name is Mommy

I couldn't help myself yesterday when I saw this little onesie on clearance at Target! I felt a little vain purchasing it for myself...seems like the kind of thing your sister or best friend should buy for you rather than you buy for yourself (on that note, I did buy one for my niece in darling girl colors)! :) And, I get extra vanity points for actually purchasing it in two sizes!

A Baby is Born...

...but she's not ours! I'm excited to congratulate my sister and brother-in-law on the birth of their Darling Little Princess! She's sooooooo tiny and precious!

One of the nurses asked if I had uterus envy seeing how I was supposed to have our baby first! We all got a good chuckle out of that. Looks like if our guy doesn't come on his own before, my Dr. will break my water sometimes this weekend. Thanks for praying for us!

P.S. Does anyone know why my paragraph breaks are not showing up here??? Help!

Garage Sale Report and Still No Baby

The garage sale was a success in our minds. We made $310 and only had 2 boxes and a duffel bag of stuff left over! It felt great to purge and get paid for it! :)

Papa and Grammy took Darling Little Redhead and his cousin for the day so we wouldn't have to worry about him during the yard sale. They went out on the boat and played at the lakefront! Here they are having loads of fun...

On Sunday the church I grew up in had a baby shower for my sister and I. It was fun and boy, did we get spoiled! I got a ton of 0-6 month stuff, including lots of warm clothes. That was a big need since all of Darling Little Redheads hand-me-downs were summer clothes (we lived in the tropics when he was a baby). Here I am with my sister...

No signs of the baby's arrival yet...Thursday is my official due date. My mother-in-love is willing the baby to be born tomorrow on her birthday! :) We'll see what happens. Hopefully the next post will include baby pics.

39 Weeks & Am I Crazy?

This ones for all my girlfriends out there...39 weeks! Still no contractions to speak of, but the baby seems to have dropped and I am definitely not as energetic as I was a few weeks ago. Which is why I am wondering if I am TOTALLY insane to be having a garage sale this weekend!


Look at all the stuff I have...and I haven't priced a thing yet! I'm sure it will all come together. I figured I will have more time and energy now even at 39 weeks pregnant than I will after the baby is born though so we are going for it!

My dad would croak if he realized he stored this stuff in his garage for four years while we were overseas...just so I could have a garage sale two months after getting home! I should have counted how many times honey and I asked each other, "What did we save this for?" :)
