Heard in my home today at lunchtime:
Me: Son, you need to sit down at the table. It's time for lunch.
Darling Little Redhead: No, I don't mama. Daddy said I don't have to (Do all three year olds think this trick will work???).
Me: That's not true. Daddy isn't even here. You're lyin'.
DLR: I'm not lion!
Me: Son, yes you are.
DLR: Mama, I'M NOT A LION! I'm a boy!
And now for a picture of my Darling Little Redhead (He's NOT A LION!) and his little brother, "El Principito".

cute...
at least now...
Then I started to use the answer, "If I go ask your daddy, will he say the same thing?" That used to work.
But love the lion thing!
My three year old once put on a suit for a wedding, studiously examined himself in the mirror and exclaimed proudly, "I look like a shark!"
Took awhile to figure out he meant he looked SHARP!
Very cute. :)
SOOO Cute and CUTE boys too!
hahaha too funny... how did you not laugh... i sometimes have a really hard time with that... not laughing and still trying to correct.
Oh goodness... he is sneaky! I will have to take some lessons from you since those sneaky days are nearly upon me with my daughter! :) He is adorable, though, so I am sure it's impossible to be mad for long...both boys are adorable actually!
Carrie
He's a lion in his own way, isn't he? ;)
Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit.... :) Aren't 3 year olds fun? Six year olds are even FUNNER....
I love those cute little moments that you treasure forever!
